Both organisations will cooperate to promote the 3rd edition of the European Games which will be held from June 21 to July 2 in Poland.

On January 30, 2023 LaLiga and the Organising Committee of the Krakow-Małopolska 2023 European Games have signed a partnership agreement with the aim of promoting the Games amongst sports fans and promoting Krakow, Maloposka and Poland as tourist destinations.

The European Games, which run from June 21 to July 2, 2023, will welcome 7,000 athletes from 48 countries competing in 29 sporting disciplines over 12 days in 24 venues.

The event is therefore an opportunity to showcase the best of European sport and is the prelude to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with 19 disciplines determining their representatives.

LaLiga will offer its expertise to support the Organising Committee in the promotion of the European Games, giving visibility to the event both in the broadcasts of selected LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank matches, and through its multiple digital channels with the aim of making the European Games a popular and high-value event in Europe and around the world.

In the words of Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga: “This agreement between LaLiga and the European Games allows us to identify common opportunities to reach an audience of sports fans who increasingly enjoy sport and football, but who do so in totally new and innovative formats.”

According to Michal Langer, Vice-President of the Organising Committee of the European Games: “The Kraków-Małopolska 2023 European Games will get extensive international promotion, thanks to the partnership with Spain’s LaLiga. We could not have dreamed of a better partner.”

This agreement is therefore intended to give Europe’s leading multi-sport event, which celebrates its third edition in 2023, a boost among sports fans and updated information is available at https://european-games.org
