AWF Sports Centre

The Academy of Physical Education in Krakow has many sports and teaching facilities. Most of them are located at al. Jana Pawła II, in the vicinity of green areas, which consist of Park Lotników, which is liked by Krakow residents.

The AWF Sports Centre includes, among others: an athletics stadium with a modern tartan running track, a football field, a sports hall, two gyms (for sports and artistic gymnastics), a climbing wall, indoor courts, a swimming pool and numerous rooms lecture and auditorium.

The Modern Pentathlon will be held here during the European Games.

There are also 43 city parks and 5 nature reserves in the area of Krakow, so it is eagerly visited by those who especially appreciate contact with nature. In Krakow, nearly 100 festivals and other cultural events are also held annually.

It’s a wonderful place where in the morning you can go to the cafes, tucked away in the narrow streets, and enjoy breakfast along with hot, delicious coffee.
