O Chorzowie

Chorzow is a city of contrasts. On the one hand, it impresses with its Silesian industrial spaces, on the other with its greenery and nature. It is also famous for its rich entertainment offer, aimed especially at families with children.

The most important place for the residents of Chorzow, but also for the whole of Upper Silesia, is the Silesian Park, delighting not only with its magnificent green area, but also with a mass of attractions aimed at people of all ages. The most popular of these are the Silesian Zoological Garden and the Legends of Silesia Amusement Park – the oldest amusement park in Poland, which, after renovation, offers fun in a modern, fairy-tale setting. You can also visit the planetarium, rosarium and Skansen-Górnośląski Park Etnograficzny. In winter, there is an indoor roller skating rink, snow park and cross-country ski trails.

And since we’re already talking about sports, it’s hard not to mention the Silesian Stadium located here, operating since 2020 as the National Athletics Stadium, which is the arena for the largest sports and cultural events in the country. It is full of places where we can admire the unique Silesian architecture, culture or flavors characteristic of the region. If you want to taste famous Silesian “kluski”, you better do it right here!
